Ages 5 - 11:

Sundays at 10:30 a.m. 2nd Floor Parish Hall.

This popular class offers an interactive, hands-on way for kids to explore bible stories by actually building the bible stories with Legos. We have a large 50’ by 25’ room to accommodate all the kids to spread out and build and share their faith stories. They also go on scavenger hunts throughout the campus and participate in other activities throughout the year!

Ages 3rd - 8th grade:

Wednesday Practice 6 p.m. - Conducted virtually via Zoom

The children’s choir is an Education Through Music program that engages choral singing in multiple languages including, reading music, and playing instruments. Children's music education has been linked to better reading, writing and mathematical skills (Hallam, 2010). So not only do the children get to learn new skills of singing and learning to play instruments, they have an opportunity to improve the academic scores! No previous experience required so come join the group!  Joining the choir is $60 for the year.  Click here to learn more about Education Through Music.

About Our Music Director

Kari Zimmerman is our Children's Choir Director at St. Paul’s. Kari has been singing in the Episcopal Church for over 17 years, six of which have been at St. Paul's. This summer, Kari was an assistant director for the Diocesan Music Camp for the first time and looks forward to many summers to come! She has lived and worked in the Houston area her whole life and has been in a choir every year since she was in fourth grade.  After receiving her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Houston, Kari began teaching private voice lessons in 2002 and has been teaching elementary music for the past five years. Kari also sings in the choir and it is always a treat to her sing!
